Yeni Polimer Paralarimiz !!

Kanada hukumeti ilk polimer 100 dolarlik banknotu cikarmisti, Mart 2012'den itibaren 50 dolarlik banknotlar da piyasaya suruldu. 2012'nin sonuna dogru 20 dolarlik ve 2013'in sonlarina dogru da 10 ve 5 dolarlik banknotlar tedavule girecek.

Yeni 100 dolarlik banknot elime gectiginde inceleme firsati buldum. Insan bu paranin gercek olduguna ilk onceleri inanamiyor, kucukken oynadigimiz Monopoly oyununda kullanilan plastik paralar gibi, elinizde tuttugunuzda size gercek bir para hissi vermiyor. Oldukca hafif ve polimer maddeden oldugu icin garip bir kokusu var.

Onumuzdeki senelerde kagit paralar tamamen tarih olacak ve bu polimer paralar onlarin yerini alacak. Kanada Merkez Bankasi yeni paralari kopye etmenin imkansiz oldugunu soyluyor. Kalpazanlarin buna yaniti ne olacak, onu da ileride hep beraber gorecegiz.

THY Istanbul - Toronto Ucuslari Notlarim

THY'nin 11 Temmuz 2009'da Toronto'ya yaptigi ilk ucus Kanada yasayan Turkler icin muthis bir haberdi. Bundan sonra Kanada ile Turkiye arasinda aktarmasiz ucus keyfini yasayacak, toplamda 20 saati bulan aktarmali ve pahalli seferlere son verecektik.  Ilk ucustan sonra aradan gecen 2,5 sene icersinde Toronto'dan Istanbul'a ve Istanbul'dan Toronto'ya yirmiden fazla uctum. Bu ucuslarda Turk Hava Yollarinin ekonomi, comfort ve business class'ini deneme sansi buldum. Goruslerimi baskalarina da yardimci olur dusuncesi ile burada paylasmak istedim.

Daha oncesinde Turkiye'ye gitmek icin Amerika ve Avrupa aktarmali uctugumuz icin simdi direkt THY seferinin olmasi hayatimizi inanilmaz derecede kolaylastirdi. The Newborn Registration Service is a convenient way to complete up to four important transactions online at the same time:

1. Register the birth of your baby under the age of one year
2. Apply for your baby's Birth Certificate
3. Apply for your baby's Social Insurance Number
4. Apply for your baby’s Canada Child Benefits

Before You Start
To register your newborn baby you will need:

• The child’s date of birth
• The child’s first, middle (if applicable) and last names
• The birth mother's maiden name
• The name of the hospital or birthing centre where the birth took place (if applicable)
• The name of the person who attended the birth (physician, midwife or other)
• The weight of the child
• The duration of pregnancy in weeks
• You can only use this service for up to five children (quintuplets)
• A valid method of payment (VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Interac^® Online) if applying for a birth certificate

• A child's birth can be registered with either one or two parents named on the birth registration. A parent must be one of the following:
• The child's mother, who is the woman who gave birth to the child

• The child's "other parent", who is a non-biological parent of the child, where the child was born from assisted conception with an anonymous sperm donor. An other parent can only be named on the birth registration if he/she is acknowledged by the mother and he/she agrees to be named on the birth registration
• The birth registration must be signed by each parent whose information is included on the birth registration form, unless that parent is incapable due to illness or death

Celebrate the arrival of spring at Terra Cotta Conservation Area when CVC holds its Spring in the Park Festival, which includes a pancake breakfast and springtime activities for the entire family.

Enjoy a hot pancake breakfast topped with delicious maple syrup, sausage, juice, coffee and tea at the Watershed Learning Centre.  After breakfast, discover the signs of spring in a scavenger hunt.  Be a maple forest tree detective and learn about maple trees and other species found in maples forests. Then, make a maple treat for backyard birds and learn more about wildlife at Terra Cotta.

If you want to learn more about maple syrup and how it’s made, the Jack Smythe Field Centre, which is adjacent to Terra Cotta, runs Maple Syrup Days from March 14 to 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors can see a sugar shack where the sap is boiling and sample freshly-made syrup among other activities. Jack Smythe Field Centre is operated by the Peel District School Board.  Additional costs apply.

How can I get a credit card with no Canadian credit history?

You have different options, for example you can apply for a secured credit card, a joint card, or a retail credit card.

Most banks in Canada will not give you a credit card, if you do not have any Canadian credit history. Even if you have many years of credit history with worldwide credit card companies, such as VISA and MasterCard, you might not be able to get a credit card in Canada right away.
First talk to the bank manager and ask if the bank will recognize your foreign credit history and give you a regular (unsecured) credit card. Make sure you bring any credit information you have from outside Canada.
Here is a list of some ways you can get credit and build a credit history in Canada:

• Get a secured credit card:  To get this type of card, you need to make a "security deposit" with the credit card company. This may be cash, furniture or something else that the company will accept.
• Apply for a joint card: Find a friend or family member with good credit who will share the card with you. You would both be responsible for the bills and this would help you build a credit history.
• Get a co-signer: It would be your credit card but the co-signer would be responsible if you were unable to pay your bills.
• Take out a loan: Apply for a loan from a bank or any other lending institution and pay it off quickly.
• Get a retail credit card: Apply for a credit card from a non-financial institution, such as a gasoline company or a department store. With these cards you can buy things at certain stores but you cannot borrow money. Usually these types of cards have a higher interest rate than cards from banks.
• Join a credit union at work or in your community.
