The Annual Canada Day Picnic hosted by the Turkish Society of Canada is fastly approaching.
Let's get together in a
community event on July 1 and celebrate Canada Day with the Canadian
Turkish community in the Greater Toronto Area.
The picnic will be held at Toronto High Park-Picnic Area 3 from 12:30 pm- to 5:00 pm on Monday July 01, 2013.
Menu including doner shawarma (sandwich), salad, dolma, watermelon, soft drinks and Turkish sweets will be served for $15.00.

Anatolian Folk Dancers and Ezgi music group are announcing their annual dinner and live show:
Since 1982 Anatolian Folk Dancers and Ezgi have been bringing those who want to learn and practice Turkish folk music and dance together. We have been vital in raising young generations to learn and love Turkish folk music and dance. With our volunteers, we have been instrumental in introducing our rich Turkish culture to Canada through cultural and international festivals and shows.
The Anatolian Folk Dancers and Ezgi would be honoured to have you join us in our annual dinner in celebration of our achievements.

Sezen Aksu was born and educated in Izmir on the romantic and nostalgic Aegean coast of Anatolia in Turkey. During her school years, she studied painting, music and theatre. While attending the Aegean University she released her first musical composition with lyrics. This first song, ‘Kaybolan Yillar’ (Lost Years), became a hit that touched thousands of people’s hearts and marked the beginning of her professional career. Sezen Aksu is the first female Turkish artist to compose and perform her own music.
With all of her albums, she has been in the pursuit of bettering herself, without trying to prove anything to others. She has been embraced by fans the moment her songs are released as they continue to keep the beat of the social pulse and address issues close to the heart of the man and woman on the street. She has supported many artists and is proud of their continuing success.
Sezen Aksu writes songs that we all feel in our hearts.
